You might have spotted Kathryn popping up recently on your LinkedIn feed m- at the “Exploring the new NPPF draft” session hosted by Landmark Chambers and the LPDF on 12 January 2026, which had just under 3,000 attendees dialling in.
The topic? The draft National Planning Policy Framework —with the Government seeking responses to consultation proposals that could reshape everything from housing delivery to local plan exams, there was plenty to chew over.
Kathryn talked about what these draft changes really mean for planning practice on the ground. Whether it was the weight given to strategic policies, how plan-making tests might shift, or what it all means for those caught up in the housing crisis, Kathryn’s take was grounded, practical and — importantly — rooted in what planners will actually be doing over next year.
